THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Magazine has transitioned to DIVERSITY EMPLOYERS Magazine
The past 40 years have constituted a wonderful adventure for our company. Since launching THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Magazine in 1970, we have been proudly instrumental in connecting thousands of employers to hundreds of thousands of African-American college students seeking entry-level job opportunities. Along the way, we have helped air the vital educational and social issues of our day, supported the careers of African American leaders and thinkers and public figures of all stripes, and forged strong relationships with HBCUs and non-HBCU institutions across the nation.
Now, in our 40th Anniversary Publishing Year, we are transforming – expanding, evolving – into DIVERSITY EMPLOYERS Magazine. THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Magazine has ceased to exist in paper form, while its spirit, founding commitment and some valuable features will be incorporated into the new magazine, and remain active and vital online.
With DIVERSITY EMPLOYERS, our company intends to broaden our service reach, as we did with the launch of our online sister publication, IMDiversity.com, in 1997. Building on what we have learned serving the career and educational interests of African Americans over the past 40 years, we hope to continue presenting valuable, relevant advice and feature content to benefit all job seekers – experienced workers as well as student and entry-level. DIVERSITY EMPLOYERS will combine offline and online channels to help job seekers successfully identify, research, apply to and land jobs with employers who are committed to workplace diversity. And THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Magazine will operate as a separate entity on THE BLACK COLLEGIAN Online which we’re proud to have launched as the first African American Website back in 1995.
