In this issue of THE BLACK COLLEGIAN we bring you an expanded section on Graduate and Professional school opportunities.

All of the schools and programs featured in this section offer students and recent graduates an opportunity to enhance their careers or offer an opportunity to make the transition to a new field or profession.

Lately, we have seen huge changes to the employment landscape - employers outsourcing jobs, huge technological shifts affecting everything from the hiring process to productivity and a more highly trained worker both here and abroad that can be deployed faster than ever. These changes and many more have had a profound impact on today's professionals looking to give themselves the tools they need to succeed in their careers.   These changes have caused many to rightfully reexamine their careers for ways to make themselves more marketable and more proficient at their jobs and careers.

The answer for many is a Graduate or Professional School degree that will separate them from the pack and give them the additional education and training they need excel in this new landscape.

We also introduce this section as a bit of an appetizer to our new publication "Diversifying Graduate and Professional Schools" that we will launch in September 2009.  This new magazine will be targeted to prospective Graduate and Professional school students.

Diversifying Graduate and Professional Schools magazine will be a new resource to identify programs that are committed to diversity.  Our articles will focus on the various aspects of deciding, selecting, applying, test taking, financing, and succeeding in graduate and professional school.   Please offer us your feedback on this section as we enthusiastically prepare to launch this new publication.
